For most ps3 fans its not about the games or gaming, its about supporting Sony, buying this sexy new slim 60 would would not help Sony so its not going to happen.

but the stuff they announced, like it or not, will finish the PS3 in the USA this gen. PS3 is done here, no catching up now, 360 slim, 149 entry price, COD timed exclusivity, and a Crytek partnership, Sony's dreams of being the leader in the US will remain just that, dreams. looks good, I suspect the 360s on the shelves now will be dropping in price significantly, so I think ill pick up another one of those, plus one of these new ones.

I never use that stuff in Forza, the most I do is tune my engine, upgrade tires rims, suspension, and change car color. Im not talented enuff to draw a penis on my car, nor would I want to.

personally I could not care less about dvd-rom, (still dont see how bluray has helped PS3 games)power brick, or proprietary HDD, (its 250 gigs, i wont need to upgrade) and the tray loading is actually more reliable, those slot load drives break all the time, and your games get stuck in them when the PS3 blue ligts. So this slim60 is a must buy for me, and i think there will be a lot of folks like me, most people just want to play games, not die inside for some faceless Japanese giant corporat...
